Iria Cortizo
Iria Cortizo (Pontevedra, 1987) constructs poetic microcosms in which memory, time, and nature intertwine. Her works, which include drawing, sculpture, and assemblage, evoke the fragility of things and their symbolic power, developing from the recovery of objects and images that she reworks into layered narratives. In the works realized for ExtrArtis, the artist creates small, intimate architectures—gardens for sibyls, fragments of landscapes, and lost birds—in which the craftsmanship describes a collective memory that is transformed into a poetic personal narrative.
